Vintage Tupelo

Vintage Tupelo

Here is a shot I took in downtown Tupelo last week. No, this photo wasn't taken in the 1950's. I've been messing around the the Google Nik Collection, which features a great tool called Analog Efex Pro. This took allows you to create some vintage photos using different vintage camera styles which you can cater to your own styles and needs. I used a black and white filter with some added scratches and a nice worn frame to give an old timey look. I love doing this to photos and has been a style that I have loved every since I started using photoshop about 15 years ago. It's fun to create and play with photography to manipulate it into whatever you want it to be. That is part of what creating art is, making somehting that is interesting to look at.

Also, I got a brand new iMac 27" with the 5k retina screen so no more laptop editing from home. I love it so far and plan to use it for both photo and video editing as well as creating some videos that show my photo editing workflow that I use to create my HDR photos.

I travelled through Tupelo on my way back from Clarksdale a few months ago and took a few photos downtown. This is the Lee County Courthouse in the middle of a square in downtown.
