Dockery Farm House

Dockery Farm House

I found this old house on a stop at Dockery Farms near Cleveland, MS. For some reason I was fascinated with it. Probably because of the old chair that was sitting in the entrance to the house. I have no clue as to why that chair was there but it drew me in for sure. I shot a lot of pictures of this house. This was one of my favorites.

The delta is such a mysterious place to me. I never spent much time there growing up and still have not been able to explore as much of it as I would like, though I plan to change that in the near future. I did spend a day back in October riding from Greenville, up to Rosedale and over to Cleveland and Ruleville making stops along the way. It was a lot of fun and adventurous because when I decided to go I had no clue where I was going to go or what I was going to photograph, I just drove around and stopped whenever I saw something that looked interesting. Hopefully in the future, when I go back and visit there again and in other places in the delta I will have a better plan.
