Columbus Lake at Sunset

Columbus Lake at Sunset

I have shot so many photos near the Lock & Dam that I think I've run out of things to take pictures of, but, obviously, it's a great place for photos, especially at sunset. This was just after sunset behind the old Woody's restaurant and it was so calm and peaceful. I wish that sunsets lasted longer, because I was shooting frantically trying to get as many shots as I could because everything just looked so cool, but with low light it's impossible to get quick shots with a slower shutter speed and making sure the camera is steady (Remember I take multiple exposures each time). Water and sunsets go together so well! The good thing is that sunsets and sunrises come back everyday (when it's not too cloudy) so get out there and shoot!

This is another older photo that I've come back around to in my editing. This is on the Mississippi University for Women campus in Columbus, which I feel is a little know gem in this state.

No I didn't photoshop the NYC Statue of Liberty into this photo. This mini Statue of Liberty sits in the middle of Main Street in downtown Columbus.
